Who should apply — Applicants can be of any nationality, but must be currently enrolled in a Ph.D. program in cultural or social anthropology at a university in the USA. Students must have proficiency speaking Spanish since they will have to conduct interviews in Spanish, or rely on Spanish-Tsimane’ translators. Students interested in applying to the program should first read the document entitled, 'Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ),' which is available here. Students should then contact one or more the alumni of the program (information on alumni available here) to find out if this training program is right for you.

Costs —
The program covers airfare from the USA to Bolivia, and living costs while in Bolivia.

Legal waiver — Before departing to Bolivia students must submit to Brandeis a letter from their physician indicating that the applicant is in good health and without medical impediments that might hamper them from carrying out training in Bolivia.
