Huanca has worked on Aymara healers and, more recently on how the Tsimane’ use ethnobotanical knowledge to increase the productivity of forests. He has worked continuously with the Tsimane’ since 1997. He recently completed a book on Tsimane’ history, oral traditions, and myths.
